i try to run but i don't wanna ever leave: land of smile

hello! i'm back from bkk! one of my goal for 2012 is to travel to 2 countries this year! bkk & taiwan! so its half a goal down! hopefully can get to go to taiwan in august! shall blogged in details about this trip! i didn't took much pictures so pictures credit to love & sy :)

Day 1(5th May) our trip started on sat! met at 830 and had breakfast at peach garden! our flight was at 10.55am!

reached bkk close to 1pm! the airport transfer came to pick us up and we reached our hotel in about 45mins! stayed at baiyoke boutique, which was the same hotel i stayed in 4 years back haha. rather small boutique hotel but it was quite a reasonable place to stay at consider we only paid like 100bucks for the 4 nights.

checked in & freshen up abit and headed to platinum food court for lunch!

we shared phad thai, spring roll, basil chicken rice, mango sticky rice!

this is the awesome thai ice milk tea! we had it almost everday! i drank 2 cup the first day hehe. after lunch we walked ard platinum mall and we headed to central world mall! where my favourite shop is there! naraya <3!! totally cannot resist all those pretty and cheap stuffs there!

we were mad excited and happy to see cath kidston!! but the stuffs there are all expensive! walked ard

central world and went to forever 21 and many other shops. got our prepaid card and got our connection back to the world lol.

it was already pretty late that time! headed to MBK and decided to do our nails and have dinner there!

yayyy! love the 250baht(10sgd) manicure! done by a guy manicurist whom is super detailed! it was close to 10pm after we done our nails and we thought there wasn't time for dinner so we decided to head back to the hotel! got on a cab and met this really friendly driver! he speak abit of chinese and kept recommending places for us to go! he recommended us to this place for dinner! so off we went for seafood dinner. headed back to hotel and it was already close to midnight.

Day 2(6th May) it was sunday and we went to chatuchak! i think we were somewhat early and not all the shops are opened but chatuchak was rly huge and there was still alot of places to shop! we spend ard 2-3 hours there i think. everyone bought stuffs there and we took a cab back to the hotel to put down our stuffs!

headed to platinum for lunch! we didn't really wanna squeeze thru the crazy street crowd and we took a cab there :x

fuji japanese for lunch! yummyyy and cheap jap bento! <3 it! headed to platinum mall for more shopping! big c supermarket next and we bought mango, sitcky rice and lays chips! they have unique flavours like chilli crab, lobster and many more! we bought stuffs like nobody's business. really looks like we were residents there hahaha!

cab back to the hotel and headed out for dinner! mk restaurant for dinner! it was like one of the meal i was looking forward to! cause the last time i had it was so awesome and i rem it only cost like 1plus sing per person! it was kinda different this time :/ but oh well.

went over to siam paragon and bought krispy creme for supper! and headed to walk along the streets of siam center to mbk, where they have street stalls! we finish walking the whole stretch of road!

supper back at the hotel! i think the only time where you will ever eat on the bed is during hotel stays! haha! prolly one of the best part of travelling is supper time :x i rem the korea trip where every night we had really awesome supper! misses those time :'(

Day 3(7th May) our day started with breakfast over at starbucks!

headed to chinatown next! wasted trip to chinatown as they were all wholesale items there. had birdnest

at this random shop.

there was nothing much at chinatown so we left and went to mbk! jol and sy wanted to do pedicure and i decided to change the manicure design lol! consider bkk has really cheap manicure and pedicure!

tadah! new mani! i love this nails even more! met up with sy's friend for lunch! and we had lunch at sizzler! shopped around MBK!! back to the hotel for a rest and headed to khao san night market next!

khaosan night market is one of the favourite place in bkk heee!

amazing banana nutella pancake! i only ate one piece cause my stomach isn't giving me ways to enjoy the amazing street food of bkk :(

ended the day with foot massage for 100 baht(4sgd)!

Day 4th(8th May) wanted to go to this dim sum buffet at central world for breakfast, only to realise it has alrdy close down. so we roam ard central world and decided for coco ichibanya for brunch!

A&W for snacks! misses the root beer float & curly fries & nuggets!!

headed to terminal 21 afterwhich, one of the newest mall in bkk! the mall is special as each level is themed with 1 country in mind! and each toilet in each level is themed with the 1 country in mind also!

took the subway to victory monument!

and this is where we had our dinner! walked around victory monument but there was nothing much there! so we headed to pat pong! the worse place ever lol! we leave that place within 30 mins and decided to go back to khaosan!

back to khaosan for street food and roam around there! it was rly tiring as we went to many places that day! we went to central world->siam->terminal 21->victory monument->patpong->khaosan! finally back to hotel and rest!

Day 5(9th May) A&W for breakfast! siam area for ear candle! after siam, we went to central world and went naraya again! its really hard to step out of naraya empty handed, as there will always be something new each time you go lol!

i bought a pororo soft toy at terminal 21! too cute :x

went to big c to get some snacks! back to hotel & had room service for lunch!

after lunch, we went down to the pratunam area for a walk again as our airport was at 430pm! had fried quail egg and last cup of thai ice milk tea! that sum up the 5 days of our bkk trip!
