things i missed

1. Seoul trip 2011! the roaming on the seoul streets, the fantastic stay at namsan guest house, the most amazing bbq meat i've ever eaten & the late night supper & everthing that was so memorable that happened in that eight days. 

2. The internship girls! i'm certainly not missing the internship days & workload but the internship girls! the nice colleagues i've met over the year. missing those random staycation we had at mecure! & all those hang out after work & many memories we shared tgt.

3. Those days in BOT  & working with yawen! those days where we IM everyday, read 9gag when SAP's down, eat mac breakkie all the time, countdown to 415 to end work & misses all those jiejies that are super nice to us and always help us with our doubts. although we are always complaining about the annoying vendors but the jiejies are always there to help us & BOT it sure is the best workplace till now, i hope i will find a place as nice nxt time.  

4. when i could smile, just because i'm happy and i really am. 

the birthday week.

Hello! turned 22 and another year older, as what i have said in e last post turning 22 kinda scares me and it rly did! i spend e first few hours of my twenty second thinking about life and the first day of my twenty second feeling rly sad nonetheless i'm still rly deep down v grateful to all who remember this day! no naming but you know who you are <3

So the birthday week started with dinner @ ipuddo with yawen & melly!

They handmade this super pretty card for me & bought me lush teehee! thank you lovesss! we have knew each other for 5 years now & lets cheers to more amazing memories :')

The next day was brunch with bestie at prive!

Amazing food we had! egg royale & bananalicious french toast! jus a little sad cause it was raining & we couldn't sit outdoor! but it was still a lovely brunch!

We wanted dessert so off we went to bakerzin! so this is a photo best asked me to post with the cake cause its my bday LOL.

She had to go off soon & off i went to meet ze yawenpi for some jalan jalan and we waited for ze melly to come and we had dinner & decided to head to mel's to watch the dvd she jus bought!

& on sunday itself i woke up and went to pasir panjang for my hair appoinment!

Did hair color correction & my hair color feels more even after that! the stylish help me do temp curl too! my previous perming sucks totally and i can't wait to reborn & have straight hair again!

Went for dim sum @ swee choon! i love the dimsum there! it's def better than 126!

Xian de lai for steamboat!! its rly rly pricey but worth trying for once i guess!

i have zero idea why anna shifted all the drinks to cover my cake LOL!

Chilled at forbibben city thus the pictures was rly dark :/ but thank you to the gang celebrating this day with me & for the surprise cause they bought me the chloe perfume whh i wanted! always thankful for all of you all! love :')

The last celebration was with mama on national day! soup restaurant for lunchie and as always over-ordering again! we ended wasting alot of food & i decided to pay the bill though it was suppose to be mama's treat!

this conclude the celebs & time to face the cold, hard truth of being a year older, more responsibility, more thinking to be done. the future is bleak but hopefully someday i will see the light.

out of sight, out of mind

have been wanting to reborn my hair for e longest time! i can't even rem when was the last time i did reborning. rly hate my curly & frizzy hair! 

so i went to e salon ystday wanting to do reborning & e hairstylist told me that i should do actually do perming instead. so after giving some thoughts to it i decided to try perming since i have never did it before.

& this is how it turns out! sigh, kinda regretted cause i rly can't see much difference frm my previous hair except a little i guess. gonna colour it on fri & hoping it turns out better.

it's mid july, can't help thinking how this time a year ago, it was a month with many things to look forward too! looking forward to turning 21st, looking forward to be in e streets of beautiful seoul!


a year later now, all is different, the future seems to be filled with much uncertainty. turning 22 in less than a months time & turning 22 kinda scares me. it seems that it is so much harder being happy as an adult and growing means you lose more people effortlessly. missing those years where life was so much simpler and happiness could been just a stick of paddle pop.


we were all just kids who grew up way too fast. how damn true.

food adventure

it's weekend again! & it's food adventure day ystday! cafe hop from the west to the east & back to central! total damage was 200plus for 3 of us but it was fun :D okay shall blogged about the hit & misses!

kudos to love who drove! we managed to go to places that are not rly accessible by public transport! and kudos to mj for being the gps! okay i was jus the passenger at the backseat ystday cause i can't drive & i sucks at directions too :x


riders cafe was the first stop of our plan! upon reaching the place, the person told us it was full and we need to wait for 45 mins :/ so we gave up the plan & went to marmalade pantry opposite instead! we ordered 2dishes to share!

English Breakfast ($20) the scramble egg was too creamy and the rest of the item just taste really normal. 

Truffled Field Mushroom Risotto ($22) i really like the risotto! yumsss!

next we went all the way from the west to the east for our second stop coastal settlement! read good reviews about it but who knows it turns out not rly an enjoyable meal. so heres what we ordered.

Truffle Fries ($15) This was pretty addictive & nice!

Plain Rosti ( $10) Jol ordered this & she said marche's tasted better!

Nasi Lemak ($16) yes this was the most expensive nasi lemak i have ever eaten! overpriced and average in taste imho. 

along with the misses in the food! the service at coastal settlement is bad too! the waiter & waitress jus generally ignored you even when you saw that they did see you waving at them. bad dining experience & a strike off the list to visit this place again.

third stop was to grin affair for their cake in a jar! somehow we know dessert won't go wrong & grin affair won't fail us & it sure didn't :)

grin affair is a small desert place that sells cake in a jar at everton park! we went there around 2 plus in the afternoon & most of the flavours was sold out :( i remember reading from blogs that there was actually seats or stand around area but there wasn't any! so we chose one flavours each and took it away.

fourth stop of the day is supposed to be k-ki but it turns out full also! rly hate how everywhere's jus so crowded on sats :( and i remember many people talking about one of the few cafes that sell rainbow cake in singapore, which turns out at ann siang hill too! so off we went to le chocolat cafe which was just like down the street. seated down at a outdoor seat!

Chocolate Molten Cake with vanilla ice cream ($7) there was a promo going on and with every purchase of 2 slice of cakes, you get a pot of tea free!

Matcha & Azuki Bean Jar Cake ($5.5) ate the jar cake too! & its really nice! it is layered with alot of green tea mousse and topped with nuts on top! gone within a few mins :D

it was still early for dinner so we roamed around bugis before heading for dinner @ saveur! reached saveur 5 mins before 6 and there was already a long queue formed. the person told us we have alrdy pass the first seating and will prolly need to wait for 1 hour and so. we decided to wait & roamed around shaw tower & all. finally got a seat after waiting for one and a half hour!

dinner was real awsome!! the pasta & duck confit is really nice! the mash potato is freaking awesome too! Saveur doesn't served a wide range of menu! but it sure did the food item they have really really well! totally worth the one and a half hour wait! i'm sure to visit again!

just like that, half of the year is gone. june is one dreadful month with no break & no ph! but still i'm hoping for the best for the rest of 2012.

picnic with le bestie last sat! did i mention before i love picnics :) initial plan of e venue was keppel bay but change e plan last min to botanic garden instead. met up and head to best's place to prepare e food! the weather wasn't treating us well and started raining :/

we end up nua-ing abit at her place & thankfully e rain stop after awhile. prepared e food & cab to botanic garden!

finally used the picnic basket we bought quite sometime ago!

the food we prepared! potato salad with ham & crab stick, tuna sandwich, ham sandwich, steamed crabstick! tabao mcd nuggets & some snacks too!

spend a relaxing evening chilling & eating under e beautiful sky! best had to go off for a family dinner so we went off!

went to holland v for plain vanilla! heard many ravings about it! wanted to try it for a v long time & i finally went to get it! 

lunch with best & zl after that! had favourite yong tau fu for lunch! was rather surprise it was quite empty consider i have went there quite a few sats and it was crowded like crazy & lucky plaza was crowded like platinum mall that day LOL. 

satisfying comfort food for lunch & tried out the cupcakes! the cupcakes turn out abit sweet but it was not bad! the earl grey was yummm but i suggest you give the red velvet a miss! 

went over to wisma to pass mel cupcake and head to the carboot sale! best & zl went off after that & i head to suntec to pass scum cupcakes & bus-ed home!

met up with the busy scumbag for itacho again! love love the gyoza & the shrimp tempura sushi! the queue was kinda long but the food is yum! thanks scumbag for the treat :D 

macs for supper cause scum was afraid the hello kitty will be sold out haha! & when i went to mcd today! it was rly sold out :o
